Food was flavorful. Could taste all the different flavors. A bit pricy for something relatively simple but understandable based on how high food and grocery costs have become up here in the bay. Atmosphere is comfortable and pleasant. Wait staff were attentive at the right timings and amounts without overdoing it.

We went with friends mid week & it was relatively busy. They don't take reservations, so early is better. We were seated immediately; wait staff brought out water & menus. Our friends know Persian food, so they ordered away, while hubby & I got to taste lots of items we would not have tried on our own. Got the appetizer combo, the platter with hummus, yogurt & eggplant dip with fresh Persian bread all of which was tasty. Then came the a traditional salad & the kabobs: super barg / filet mignon & chicken, along with the beef koobideh, rice all around & I'll be honest there was at least one other dish, sweet in flavor, but with all the food that was brought out I got lost; a bit overwhelming, yet at the same time what great fun to try new foods, some of which were out of my comfort zone. Ambiance casual easy going; I do wonder if the wait staff would have made suggestions if it had only been 2 of us & not knowing the menu. Great spot, felt welcomed, would try again!

Great Persian restaurant in Walnut Creek. I love their bread tahdig and yogurts. We ordered chicken pomegranate kebab with house salad. The chicken was seasoned very well and paired great with the saffron rice. Their stews are also delicious and perfect to share.

I've never had Persian food and suggested this spot for lunch after hearing about it through a friend. It was lunchtime on a weekday and we had the option to sit outside which we enjoyed. The staff was kind and attentive. The lunch menu had amazing deals (rice, entree, and drink of your choice). The portions surprised me with how big it was! I ended up having it for lunch, dinner, and the next day. The ghormeh sabzi was lovely and I really enjoyed getting the upgrade to shirin polo. Our server informed us beforehand that I was ordering sweet rice which I appreciated because I'm sure that could be surprising to some. The rectangle on my rice was supposed to be tahdig and it was gravely disappointing but I think I could try better tahdig somewhere else. Excited to try more Persian food and glad to have had this be my first experience!

Daryoush recently opened a new location in downtown Walnut Creek, taking over the space previously occupied by Kaiwa Sushi on Locust Street. Four of us came here for dinner on 07/15/2024. Upon walking in at 6:30pm, we were immediately greeted by the staff who seated us at a table near the window. The remodeled interior looked fantastic. It was decorated with many pictures of Middle Eastern relics. The staff brought us water while we were figuring out the menu. After a few minutes of deliberation, we decided to start with their Combo Plate ($20) which consisted of kashk-e bademjan (eggplant dip), hummus, mast-o-khiar (yogurt and cucumber dip), herbs, feta cheese, and flat bread. For entrée, we shared two orders of the Daryoush Plate ($48 each, for two people). The Combo Plate was very good. Everything tasted like it was freshly prepared. I especially loved the kashk-e bademjan with the sautéed onions on top. It was light and flavorful. The Daryoush Plate came with two servings each of Barg (filet mignon), Jujeh (chicken), and Koobideh (ground beef). Rice and salad were served on side. The meats were perfectly cooked and absolutely delectable. They were moist, tender, and full of flavors. Service we received was terrific. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive. Overall, we were very pleased with this experience. What a great addition to the downtown Walnut Creek dining scene! 5 stars. BONUS MATERIAL: - City parking garage across the street.

The food here was so good! The only thing I would change is maybe a bit more salt, but they provide some on the table. Other than that, everything was cooked to perfection. The service was great as well, everyone was so nice and attentive to what we needed. Ambiance was great as well, candles, dim lighting, and beautiful decor.

Top notch Persian Food. Ordered Kobideh and Jejuh Kababs for lunch. Both were super juicy, came with rice and salad and a drink. Kababs and tomato were perfectly charred. Service was super attentive. Ambience was really nice. Would come again !!

I used to go to Daryoush quite a lot when they were in Berkeley. I visited their latest location in Walnut and was as impressed as before. The new location is spacious with high ceilings and beautiful historic decoration. The owner and his staff are all friendly and make sure you feel welcomed. Our orders arrived within a reasonable time and perfectly cooked per our desire. The restaurant does not charge extra for ordering half rice/half salad. The entrance is level with sidewalk and parking is available both on adjacent streets and a multistory garage almost across the street. Totally recommend it!

My first time at Daryoush was a fantastic experience! Started off with Mast o Musir which was some of the best I've ever had. We also had the Mirza Ghosemi which was tasty. For my entree I had the combo koonideh - delicious!!! A lot of Persian restaurants don't make a juicy flavorful chicken koobideh but Daryoush does a great job with it. Finished off with some chai and cheesecake baklava which were pleasant as well. The interior is beautiful and all in all I had a lovely time. I will definitely be back!
